I have always wanted to dune buggy. My wish was fulfilled in Ica.
There was so much sand, everywhere! Before this though, I had a small panic attack because I thought I lost my phone. I was on my way to buy some cheap sunglasses because I thought I really needed them to prevent sand and whatnot from getting into my eyes. So, I was looking for my phone to tell my friend I’d get to the dune buggy soon, but I realized I didn’t have it! I ran all over the marketplace asking random ladies if they’d seen my phone only to realize that I asked one of my friend’s with a fanny pack earlier, to keep my phone for me. AH. I was dumb. I ended up not getting some sunglasses because me panicking killed my time. AHA.
I don’t going on a dune buggy will ever get old. We got to see the sunset from the top of a sand mountain. It was definitely more than pretty cool.
We were also given time to sand board for a while. I tried actually boarding on my feet down the smallest hill and ended up on my bum. Many of us just slid down the hill on our stomachs, but honestly, even that was hard. We went down a HUGE hill and had to use our feet to prevent us from going down too quickly.
Part of the crew. What a bunch of cuties. Doesn’t it look like I’m advertising for McDonalds though? The colors of our dune buggy…To date, dune buggying in Ica, Peru has been the most fun yet. If you haven’t tried this adventure yet, I’d definitely recommend.
